Prenatal Yoga: Mondays 5:30 with Usha
Prenatal Yoga on Monday is a gentle yoga class focused on easing the common aches and discomforts of pregnancy, as well as deepening your connection to your breath, your body and your baby as he/she is growing inside you. This class will strengthen and tone the body, improve flexibility and prepare you for a healthy, mindful labor and birth, both physically and mentally. It is also a great opportunity to connect with other expectant mamas and develop a supportive community. Drop-in group $12 or Class Pass 5 classes for $50
Prenatal Yoga: Wednesdays 5:30 with Suzy
Pregnancy is a sacred time. Come to prenatal yoga to relieve stress and tension from your body, mind and spirit. An hour long gentle flow class designed to allow you to connect deeply with yourself and the life growing inside you. Suzy provides loving hands on assists (if desired), music, and meditation to nurture mamas in a safe space. $15 per class
Parent and Child Yoga: Saturdays 2:30 with Christine
Parent & Child Yoga classes offer great opportunities for new and seasoned parents to connect with a supportive community in which practice, learning, and growth are shared. These classes are based on a gentle Vinyasa style, with variations offered for the specific needs of postnatal stages as well as for the little students. Standing poses, restorative poses, and meditation are all included for a well-rounded practice and mental well-being. Fun breathing exercises that will help to encourage your little ones to find self-calming techniques, and asanas (poses) that they can try out right beside you! Parents are encouraged to bring their toddlers, who will remain in the room during practice. This class is appropriate for children from walking to 4 years old. Bring your own mats. Class is suggested donation of $12-15
Mom + Baby Postpartum Yoga: Mondays 12:30 with Beth
Mamas it’s time to bring your exhausted body and little babe to postpartum (after birth) yoga. This is a space that is meant to fully nurture you. Come tiered, come happy, come sad, come overwhelmed, come inspired, come as you are, as we support one another through these constantly changing days. Yoga can minimize postpartum depression, supports and strengthens the body, and offers a space for mothers and babes to connect. You give endlessly to this new little babe and now it’s time to replenish yourself! $15 per class
MEET YOUR INSTRUCTORS
Usha Rose Avallone has been passionately teaching yoga for over 15 years. Usha has been a licensed and practicing massage and craniosacral therapist since 2005. She has done extensive private studies and trainings in pre and post-natal massage and infant craniosacral therapy (CST). Most recently she studied CST for Infants with Carol Gray in Portland, OR and trained in Prenatal Yoga with Jane Austin in San Francisco, CA in 2012. Usha loves incorporating her love of bodywork and yoga to serve her community of mamas, babies and families.
Beth Laskin has not only been studying yoga for over 10 years, but is also a local midwife. She is passionate about the body and supporting women through their journey of pregnancy and beyond. She teaches Mom+Baby Yoga on Mondays
