MEET YOUR INSTRUCTORS
Usha Rose Avallone has been passionately teaching yoga for over 12 years. Usha has been a licensed and practicing massage and craniosacral therapist since 2005. She has done extensive private studies and trainings in pre and post-natal massage and infant craniosacral therapy (CST). Most recently she studied CST for Infants with Carol Gray in Portland, OR and trained in Prenatal Yoga with Jane Austin in San Francisco, CA in 2012. Usha loves incorporating her love of bodywork and yoga to serve her community of mamas, babies and families.
Cat McGrath is a 200hr. certified Sivanada Yoga instructor who found her foundation in traditional Hatha yoga in 2006. Her passion for teaching ties in deeply with her career as a Certified Professional Midwife and Doula.
She has been supporting natural birth for 12 years, and working for the Austin Area Birthing Center for the past 8. In 2010, she started the prenatal yoga program at the South Austin Area Birthing Center in Texas, providing free classes which continue today.
Throughout her career and studying to become a midwife, she has seen first hand the positive effects that a yoga practice during pregnancy can bring. From easing the discomforts of pregnancy, to preparing the body and mind for labor, and helping aid in the quick recovery of the pelvic floor after birth, prenatal yoga serves as a guide through the journey to becoming a mother.
